The preacher must be patient. Be the essence of sanctification. Have information. He himself was influenced by divine teachings. Have knowledge and news. His heart is the treasure of the jewel of God’s love. May his soul be blessed with the blessings of God. Comprehensive attributes of humanity and divinity. Have the power of expression and explanation, and be eloquent and eloquent, and associate with the nobility and the poor in every city he goes to. Neither dry nor holy. Until all those who associate with him see that this person is spiritual, religious, heavenly, a perfect human being, a scholar, a genius. He must associate with every sect and watch with them in order to gain influence and penetration among the people, like the breath of the Holy Spirit, to touch the bodies of their dead. To see, to investigate to what degree and line the people work, what their thoughts are, what their beliefs are. Talk to them accordingly to get closer and be lucky.
The greatest of all is the state of the preacher himself, who must always be like a candle lit at night. This requires a sum of money. They must be constantly on the move. Preachers who understand and ignite things. The passage of the wind [Rabi ‘] causes the revival of the trees, but the passage of the gentle wind inherits ruin and depression. For another two hundred years, thoughts must be confined to propaganda. Yes, the administration of the care of the weak and the education of the children and the care of the poor and the administration of the interior is everyone’s business. But not to make them so important that the issue of propaganda is forgotten and they abandon the matter of propaganda.

مبلّغ باید مدارا داشته باشد. جوهر تقدیس باشد اطّلاعات داشته باشد. خودش از تعالیم الهی متأثّر شده باشد. علم و خبر داشته باشد. قلبش خزینۀ جواهر محبّتالله باشد. روحش مهتزّ به نفحاتالله باشد. جامع صفات انسانیت و الهیه باشد. قوّۀ بیان و تبیان داشته باشد و فصیح و بلیغ باشد و در هر شهری که میرود با اعیان و فقرا معاشرت جوید. نه خشک مقدّس باشد نه تر بیدین. تا این که جمیع کسانی که با او معاشرت مینمایند ببینند که این شخص روحانی است، متدیّن است، آسمانی است، انسان کامل است، عالِم است، فاضل است. با هر فرقه باید معاشرت کند و با آنها مماشاة نماید تا میان ناس نفوذ و رسوخی پیدا کند مانند نفحۀ روحالقدس به اجساد میّتۀ آنها بوَزَد. ببیند، تحقیق کند که نفوس در چه درجه و خطّی کار میکنند، چه افکاری دارند، به چه عقائدی متشبّثند. مطابق آن با آنها صحبت کند تا نزدیک شوند و اقبال نمایند.
اعظم از همۀ اینها حالت خود مبلّغ است که باید همیشه چون شمع شبافروز باشد. این امر مبلّغ لازم دارد. آنها باید دائماً در عبور و مرور باشند. مبلّغینی که چیز میفهمند و مشتعل هستند. عبور باد [ربیع] سبب احیاء اشجار است امّا عبور باد خریف مورث خرابی و افسردگی. تا دویست سال دیگر باید افکار حصر در تبلیغ باشد. بلی ادارۀ تکفّل ضعفا و تربیت اطفال و نگاهداری فقرا و ادارۀ داخلۀ امری همه هست. ولی نه آن که آنها را به درجهای اهمّیت دهند که مسئلۀ تبلیغ فراموش شود و امر تبلیغ را ترک نمایند.
